She's a very sweet person, but when she's hunting, her personality is completely different. She turns into the monster she tries so hard not to be.

Like Jordyn, she feeds off the blood of humans. She always kills her victims, and always searches for those who won't be missed; prostitutes, the homeless, etc. She refuses to drink from children, though she has a liking for females.

History

Aracely Alana Lopez was born in Barcelona, Spain on January 26, 1934 to rich parents, Rodrigo and Celeste Lopez. She grew up in a luxurious manor of over 20 acres, with servants and cooks and maids. Most would have called her spoiled, but instead she did not flaunt her riches, most often times giving five peseta to those less fortunate than her. Whilst at home, she liked to curl up in the most comfortable chair in the house, located in the family room, with a book in hand. She dreamed of being a librarian and owning her own library.

In 1948, her family began to lose their money in some business deal gone wrong, thanks to her father declining an invitation to the CEO of his rival company’s dinner party. They were supposed to merge, but Rodrigo didn’t want this. So they began to lose money as more and more customers turned to the rival company.

That caused Aracely to be forced to marry thirty-two year old José Garcia at the tender age of sixteen. Unknown to most, he was a predator of sorts, gazing longingly of the young teenage women around the city. He and the marriage were the only salvation the Lopez’s had, and so, Aracely was wedded to José on December 2nd, 1950.

Two years after their marriage, José decided it was time to have an heir. So he and Aracely tried having a baby. Unfortunately for him, it was soon discovered that Aracely was infertile. She was secretly relieved, because she did not want to have this man’s child. On the outside, she showed grief, but José blamed her for him not being able to have a child. He began to have an affair with Barcelona’s "puta" behind Aracely’s back, and got her pregnant, giving him a son nine months later.

The new baby was barely a month old when the vampires attacked.

The killed everyone in Aracely’s village, terrorizing the city. José was mauled to pieces, bits of him flying everywhere in front of Aracely’s eyes as she was held hostage by a couple of vampires. A female vampire with hair black as a raven’s feather and long enough she could have been a vampiric Rapunzel. Her eyes glowed a brilliant shade of red, and her full lips were pulled back in a snarl. She spoke a language Aracely didn’t recognize, and the vampires who had her, let go with fear etched across their faces. At that moment, Aracely knew that this woman was going to kill her.

Instead, the woman attacked the vampires, breaking one’s neck and pulling another’s heart right out of his chest, the organ still beating furiously in her hands. She turned on Aracely, and the small Spanish woman cowered until the black haired woman gave her a sweet smile, transforming her face into a kind-looking person, had it not been for the crimson eyes, blood spattered all over her, and the heart in her hand. Tossing the organ to the side, the woman spoke to Aracely. Not Spanish, but somehow she could understand her.

“I’m sorry, I cannot allow you to live as a human; seeing this will ruin you for your entire life. I’ll give you two choices, you can pick. One, I kill you. Or two, I turn you.”

Aracely’s eyes widened and she thought, I’ll lose my humanity...

The woman smiled. “No, you won’t. You don’t have to. I can help you.” She drew closer to Aracely, squatting down. “My name is Jordyn Riva, by the way. So what do you want to choose?”

Aracely gulped, not sure if she should or could trust Jordyn, but deciding she would. “Change me.”
